Dr Waqar connects a short awareness sessions with a patient

Doctor Waqar is supporting the campaign more than our expectations. He holds short awareness sessions with his patients daily. He shows them bin stickers and briefs them about segregating dry and wet waste at household level so they can get rid of many diseases.

‘I feel that segregating waste is an important thing. When people dump it together it creates a mess and speeds up disease outbreak.’
Doctor Waqar
Doctor Waqar said, ‘An average of 40 patients visit my clinic daily. After checkup and medication, I give them a short message regarding waste segregation at household level. I urge them to do this so that they get rid of diseases, recycle the waste and save the environment. All this takes only one minute with each patient. I feel that segregating waste is an important thing. When people dump it together it creates a mess and speeds up disease outbreak. I am so thankful to the Tearfund team, who encouraged me and my community and showed how the waste is badly affecting the environment, and impacting our lives.’
